Anembo

Case Study:  Anembo Consultants

Anembo, meaning ‘a peaceful, beautiful & creative place’, was established in 1994 by a core group of experienced Landscape Architects and Environmental Consultants in response to the development industries need for a practice that synergised Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences and Project Management.

In 2009, Tim Hindley, the Managing Director, decided to set up a Quality Management System as part of his drive to compete with other companies on tenders that asked questions on quality.  He selected Best Practice Business Systems to be the quality consultant following two very positive recommendations from local companies.  Michelle Silva, landscape designer, became the Quality Representative.

Following five very productive meetings, Anembo Consultants received their second party certificate eight weeks after commencing.  Tim’s vision of Anembo is one driven by integrity, harmony and teamwork, and he used the quality system to drive this vision.  He led from the front and brought the rest of his team into understanding that the quality system is now “the first point of call”; the mechanism to review the way the company works.  His team is present for each management review meeting, and meets annually with the quality consultant to review progress.

Tim was delighted with the overall effects of his quality management system. When asked in front of over a hundred delegates at a Cleantech Industries conference what was the best thing that had happened to his company over the last year, he had no hesitation in selecting his QMS.

Anembo Consultants has now maintained their annual certificate for the last four years and during that time has broadened their QMS by using Best Practice Business Systems to assist them in adding written admin processes.
